During an Acupuncture Treatment, the practitioner conducts an intake to collect information from the patient in order to decide on a treatment plan. During the treatment, typically, the patient will rest either face up or face down. The practitioner will insert tiny, stainless steel, sterile needles at specific points along meridians that run throughout the body. Patients rest for 25-40 minutes and then the practitioner returns to remove the Acupuncture needles. Other modalities (such as Cupping, Gua Sha, or Moxibustion) may be incorporated when therapeutically appropriate.

An Herbal Consultation is for patients who are interested in receiving an herbal formula to relieve present symptoms and address the root cause. Herbal formulas are often used in conjunction with Acupuncture treatments to help the patient reach their goal more quickly. An Herbal Consultation is for patients who are interested in receiving an herbal formula to relieve present symptoms and address the root cause. Herbal formulas are often used in conjunction with Acupuncture treatments to help the patient reach their goal more quickly. The practitioner will conduct a thorough intake (virtually or in person) of the patient's chief complaint and history of present situation. An appropriate herbal formula will be recommended for the patient to purchase at an additional cost.

Jacqueline Fusari (she/her), a licensed Acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine, graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, MAOM in 2021. During this time, she spent over 800 hours in the clinic with patients. Jacqueline is NCCAOM Certified and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. Concurrently, she attended Moving Mountain Institute where she studied Cranialsacral therapy and Integrated Visceral Techniques.

Jacqueline graduated from Flagler College with a degree in Deaf Education in 2009. During this time, she worked at the Florida School of the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine, FL. Formerly, Jacqueline was a sign language interpreter, formerly, and has worked with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in various capacities since 2006.

In her Chinese Medicine practice, Jacqueline provides holistic health care to patients for a wide spectrum of symptoms, using a combination of modalities, including:

acupuncture

electro-stim

cupping

gua sha

Chinese herbal medicine

Based on her clinical experience, Chinese medicine has been effective for managing many conditions, including but not limited to acute and chronic pain, orthopedic issues, mental-emotional issues, allergies, insomnia, and gastro-intestinal issues.

She also has experience managing symptoms experienced by patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer. Chinese medicine can offer relief from the nausea and vomiting. For patients with peripheral neuropathy, acupuncture can improve nerve conductivity and improve sensory reception. Also, moxibustion and acupuncture have been very effective in regulating and balancing the body when patients experience either constipation or diarrhea.

Traditional Chinese Medicine can provide complementary benefits for patients when used adjunctively with western medicine in an integrative approach to holistic care.
